An extra Fun Sunday Funday is happening at The Lark on June 1st! For no other reason than it is basically summer and it felt like a good time for a good time, we give you:
Rosé! Pizza!! Cake!!! We’re welcoming a dream team of pros: Sami Berenson of .bourgeois will be here pouring a delicous selection of international rosé wines from their awesome portfolio, our favorite Chicago tavern-style pizza pop-up, , will be out back slinging up thin and crispy pies, and the Grande Dame of Dessert (unoffical title), pastry chef Gayle Vadez is serving up decadent cake slices inspired by the vibrant flavors of rosé! Fun kicks off at 1pm; in honor of the lazy days of summer, this is not a ticketed or RSVP event, just a casual afternoon hang, so first come first served while supplies last. See you then!

Per our last post, we’re boldly bringing two nights of winemaker takeovers to the space next week!
FIRST UP:
Thursday 05/08
A night of amazing South African wines with both winemakers from Testalonga and Intellegos! Craig Hawkins and Jurgen Gouws will be side by side pouring 4 of their wines (bubbles, white and reds!) and telling the story of their new wave in the Swartland: winemakers ditching convention for organic farming, hands-off cellar work, and wines that are pure, energetic, and dangerously drinkable. 5pm-7pm drop-in format as always, and bottles will be available for purchase for summertime fun ahead.

UGA spring graduation is next week, but we know the locals need something fun to do away from the graduating crowds. AND it just so happens that 3 amazing winemakers from the southern hemisphere will be in Georgia on the very same dates that no locals can get a casual walk in seat at any restaurant. We’ll be pouring 4 of their outstanding wines that evening, and Jill will be with us from 5-7pm to chat with you about the wines and the Matthiasson mission as a whole. Y’ALL. As longtime fans, we are absolutely thrilled to have Michael Cruse, founder and winemaker of Cruse Wine Co. join us in the space for a tasting takeover on Friday, April 4th! is self described as a small winery in Petaluma dedicated to making uniquely California wine. Often with bubbles. So no surprise this will be a dive into bubbles! We will be pouring 3 Cruse sparkling wines to enjoy as a unique comparative tasting, and we’ll also be pouring their juicy, chillable Valdiguie, because we love this red. Michael will be hanging out with us from 5pm-7pm on 04/04, so swing by anytime in that window to drink some killer Cali wines and learn first hand about his methods and mission. As always, this is a drop-in style event, no reservations.

SANE, Inc. provides victim forensic medical examinations, evidence collection, forensic interviews, advocacy, court testimony and education related to the sexual assault of children and adults, at no cost to the victim or their family. We are proud to support the doctors and nurses in our community that do this incredible work, so come out on Tuesday March 25th, enjoy some delicious wine and snacks, and help us raise money towards this cause!

We are thrilled to have recently secured a small amount of the very special wines being produced by Nate Ready ! Hiyu takes the concept of permaculture and biodynamic farming into uncharted territory, making some of the most terroir-focused wines anywhere in the world. And, important to note, these wines are wildly delicious.
Lark bar manager and noted soil enthusiast, .d.rew recently attended an intimate seminar in Atlanta with Nate, and is very excited to share his knowledge of this magical project with y’all tomorrow, Sunday 3/22! He’ll be opening 2 bottles for tasting, a white and red, starting at 1pm until they run out. Don’t sleep on this one, it’s a Sunday Bottle tasting for the history books.
