When I first started my LLC I had trouble understanding why everything was difficult. Why wineries had special privileges over mead and essentially why mead was treated like a bastard child. After delving into government documents and historical recipes and laws, it became clearer. Mead is the most highly revered elixer in the world, and has been pushed to the side repeatedly. New drink coming soon! I will have this revived classic ready for Oktoberfest. The new Pagan recipe is derived from ingredients used by the old Norse culture over 1,000 years ago, and has a very special spiritual meaning. A new blog will be ready giving greater detail about it the closer I get to bottling it. New Pagan is basically done! Did a filter and added the oak today. Came out to ~11% and tastes amazing. Apples, cherries, prunes, buckwheat honey, mugwort, yarrow, and elderflower. The honey is stronger and more present than in previous recipe. Same fruit, same honey, same measurements, different herbs. Ragnarok provides the best Mead experience you can imagine, with flavors and techniques that are thousands of years old. The way Ragnarok makes mead isn’t like any winery or typical mead enthusiast, we add no chemicals or additives of any kind, and have a truly deep passion for our product.

This year, already, has been hectic. Im sorry to say we have no summer events on our calendar nor will I be making any new meads until winter or possibly spring of next year. The next event we will attend is Oktoberfest at the Madonna center this year. What we will have available is the 793 (Oktoberfest braggot), the new formulated Pagan!, and some amazing pink lemonade mead (a video on the making of it is available on our YouTube channel).
