Fun fact. This afternoon, I texted an employee of mine today asking if it was Clocktown’s anniversary. And when he confirmed, I didn’t have a second to embrace it or celebrate it because I had a sick two-year old clawing at my legs to pick her up while another child complained he wasn’t feeling well.

That pretty much sums up the past 11 years. It truly has been go, go, go. Although I always say Clocktown Liquors was my first baby, it wasn’t long after until we had our firstborn, then second
 then third. It really has been a roller coaster ride. Or a fun house— you know, those ones at the town carnival that make no sense and you turn a corner just to smash into a mirror and have to find another way out. We have NOT had a minute 😂. The level of patience and flexibility our family has had to demonstrate in the past 11 years has sometimes felt impossible but I have our work family (not pictured) to thank for allowing us to navigate it.

Our team at Clocktown Liquors — former AND current — contributed to every ounce of its success. They treat this tiny little business beyond “just a job.” They show up and are always willing to learn your name. They ask questions. They collaborate. They’re compassionate. And how lucky am I to admit that I can’t remember the last time an employee has called out sick?! They’re the real deal.

As a working mom who owns a small brick and mortar business, the challenges can feel overwhelming. But, wow, so are the rewards. I get to lead a small business team in a town that prioritizes community while my kids get to witness the grit and work AND connection I make on a daily basis.

Love my Clocktown crew and customers. Appreciate you sticking with me 💙

This weekend’s tasting will feature — the first Italian sparkling tea —and my favorite part? It has lemon!

We loaded our wine cooler with these because
🍋a) you won’t want to wait until the tasting to try it OR
🍋 b) you’ll buy a bottle immediately after trying it!

I had a glass of this over holiday break as I paused from entertaining the kids. BEYOND refreshing in this hot weather and because it’s low in alcohol, it didn’t disrupt mommying. 😂

If you enjoy slightly sweet, this will be your new favorite at Clocktown.

Cheers to the dads! This is the man who supported me taking on Clocktown Liquors from the very beginning. We were just engaged and I was very uncomfortable taking risks, and he never stopped encouraging me or believing in me.

All his support and motivation to be adventurous, and getting comfortable being uncomfortable has translated into his journey as a father. We’re his #1 fans and he very much is always ours. Love you !

Our littlest turned 2-years-old this past weekend! The last couple of years have been quite a blur. Owning a business with young kids has been the greatest challenge — and like many mothers, I’ve always hated asking for help and feel even more ashamed when the help I do receive doesn’t feel like enough.

I often accuse my mom of fooling me — “mom, you never warned me it would be this hard!” I don’t have any memories of her complaining or crying as she juggled owning a business and motherhood. Thankfully, our culture has shifted and it’s more acceptable today for me to admit that this is incrediblyyyyyy HARD!

The guilt and anxiety of a working mother always lands between “am I working enough?” and “am I present enough for my kids?” But, I’ve noticed too
 the sweet spot is when my kids see me excited about my work and the joy it brings.

Here’s to forever reflecting & navigating motherhood and work. And here’s to celebrating year 2 as a business owner and mama of 3 đŸ„°

When Busch Light discontinued their apple beer, customers were disappointed.

Fans created Facebook groups in search for it.

A petition on change.org was even started about turning Busch Light Apple into a year-round release.

Since its return, we’ve had several requests for Busch Light Apple. There’s such a craze that fans are purchasing the entire stock at local liquor stores!

Because we want everyone to have a chance to buy and try it, we’re setting a limit for 2ïžâƒŁ 6pks per customer.

When I see I can’t help but think that if Jason Momoa was a bottle of vodka himself, this is exactly what he’d be packaged as đŸ€Ł

Not just another celebrity joining the liquor industry to make a quick dollar— he saw a void in vodka. He considered it an ingredient, NOT a spirit.

So, he spent 9 years creating a vodka with DEPTH! Not to mention, made with natural, unfiltered spring water gathered from a 300 million year old aquifer in Montana.

Owned by sisters, Laura and Melissa Gaied, we are beyond a small business, we’re family — and we treat you like a member as soon as you walk through our doors.

How did we get here? The real story begins when we were kids. Our school bus dropped us off at our parents’ pizza shop, Ashland Pizza Palace. When finished with homework, we helped our parents — folding pizza boxes, cleaning tables, even taking your phone orders! From childhood through adulthood, we learned the skills valuable to operating a business as well as the significance of contributing to the community and ensuring quality customer service.

Why Clocktown Liquors? We didn’t want to see the decline of Clocktown Liquors and jumped in to apply the values and skills we learned over the years to this store. We kept the original name of the store because it paid tribute to Ashland’s history, the home of Telechrom. Plus, we’re Clockers at heart. Our fondest memories include participating in Ashland Youth Soccer, summer camp at the Rec., running around Ashland Day’s booths, and high-fiving our inspiring Boston Marathon runners along rt. 135.
