A July 4th Pairing Experience at Botanist & Barrel Asheville

We’re partnering with Celeste, owner of Asheville’s beloved The Chocolate Fe**sh, for a curated tasting experience featuring 4 handcrafted chocolates — each paired with a wine or cider selected by our resident sommelier (and pommelier!), Amie Fields.

This isn’t your average chocolate-and-red-wine situation. These are intentional, pro-level pairings that bring out the best in both sip and bite.

Bonus: Celeste will be at the bar to share her expertise and guide guests who want a deeper dive into the world of chocolate and pairing.

With a delicate two-day skin contact and a rest in fresh Chardonnay barrels, it’s a white wine with whispers of the seaside. The nose greets you with salty sea breeze and a hint of caramel, mingling with lightly toasted nutty notes. On the palate, it’s light and fresh, yet carries a subtle grip and depth from its skin contact. Perfect for those who crave a little texture with their crispness.

🥹😭 y'all..... Katie’s leaving us at the end of the year, and frankly, we’re not okay. She’s the kind of person you want in your corner—steady, kind, and just the right amount of chaos to keep life interesting. She never pulled that “bossy manager” shtick, because she didn’t need to. She led by being brilliant at her job and even better as a human.

🫣We’re keeping this short because Katie hates attention. If you try to sing her a farewell song, she’ll probably disappear faster than her famous matzah ball soup. But we couldn’t let her leave without saying this: Katie, you’ve been an absolute gift to this place. Thank you for your heart, your humor, and for proving that empathy is the real superpower.

Now go out there and live your best life, but don’t forget—you always have a seat at this bar (and a backup glass of wine) waiting for you✨🥂🍷
