🍷 A little of this and that, new in this week!
• Piria Lambrusco: A lighter-style, dry Lambrusco with crispy acidity paired with strawberry, wild cherry and a touch of white pepper.
• Riesling Trocken: Oh that is lovely. A little sweetness pairs with thirst quenching acidity for an easy-going, super drinkable Trocken Riesling. A hefty dose of mango, pear, apple and apricot all packed into a slightly larger 1 liter bottle.
• Dry Riesling: We were blown away by this single-vineyard Dry Riesling from the Finger Lakes. Beautiful balanced with plenty of tropical fruit and lemon-lime zest paired with mineral freshness and a silky texture. James Suckling agrees with a score of 95.
• Nicole Chanrion Cote De Brouilly: Wine from the Beaujolais Cru of Côte-de-Brouilly are known as the Elegant Wine of the Hill. The vines are planted on volcanic slopes of Mount Brouilly for a distinct volcanic, mineral-driven finesse. Nicole’s Côte-de-Brouilly is serious, but still fun with plenty of juicy wild strawberry and violet.
• Cotes-du-Rhone Villages Rouge: From renowned importer Kermit Lynch comes a wine that’s as gorgeous in taste as it is in color. Juicy dark fruit, black pepper and herbs, plush tannins, and a balanced acidity make for an elegant and crowd pleasing bottle.
• Corvidae Syrah Lenore: A wine that makes you dream of a meal like braised short ribs over polenta... even on the hottest of days. Coming from the Columbia Valley, Lenore is bold and dark without being rich or heavy. Black fruits take center stage with blackberry, black currant and black cherry paired with hints of vanilla, dark chocolate and a smoky, stormy undertone.
