It has been cooold lately, but temperatures are still expected to gradually trend warmer throughout this weekend into next week. It will at least be a little closer to normal for this time of year. The cold, dense air can be a little stubborn to leave, but here's a look at Sundays expected high temperatures across Southcentral along with the possible temperature ranges for the Sunday high. Although temperatures will be increasing, we are looking at several back to back systems for the week ahead.

1/29/24

🔹Crews continue to plow Arterial and Collector streets as well as Sidewalks and trails. Estimated time of completion for streets is late this evening or early morning. Estimated time of completion for sidewalks and trails is late Wednesday evening.

🔹Residential plowing estimated to begin late this evening or early morning. With no additional snow eta for completion is some time Sunday afternoon.

🔹Snow hauling will continue on nights beginning this evening and run simultaneously during this plow out. Dayshift hauling will begin again once residential plowing is closer to completion.

Ending 2023 on a high note by photographing a White Raven!!! This rare bird is leucistic which means it has a lack of melanin which is different than albinos which lack melanin entirely--leucistic have reduced melanin. My raven also has beautiful, blue jeweled eyes where albinos have red eyes. Hoping to put my lens on this special bird again soon. Hope you enjoy!
