We wanted to share an open letter we came across with you all about the hike in To***co products in Alaska coming soon.

HERE IT IS:

The Alaska Governor is about to sign a new law into effect for the over taxation of to***co products. Taxes so high they will surely bring these products into the black market and ruin any legal to***co selling business and put them in the hands of children.

Here is how it plays out.

Let’s use an example of if a store buys a to***co product for $10

They pay an import tax to the local government of $5.50
They pay an import tax to the state government of $7.50
They have now paid $23 for the product.
This is to happen July 1st of 2026.
So you will now pay around $10 more for each to***co product you buy.

Then on July 1st 2027 the second tax goes into effect which is a sales tax basically paying tax on the tax you already paid of 25%.
So now let’s say you currently pay $50 for a product. Starting in July you will now pay $60. Then next year you will pay $75 for the same device. That is $25 more than you pay now.
The to***co wholesale cost before tax is about $13 for this $75 product.

So black market sellers could buy $13 vapes and sell them for $50 and undercut the stores and make a fortune. All while the punishment for this crime is typically only a $300 fine.

Keep in mind per studies black market drug dealers sell products usually for 25% more than they buy it for and in some cases at best double their money. This is for heavy drugs that have serious criminal consequences like prison. The most they make is double their money. In to***co they will now be able to more than triple their money and still be selling drastically cheaper than legal markets and have little to no consequences for doing so.

This is exactly how you get to***co into the hands of children because black market sellers do not care how old someone is.

HELP SAVE KRATOM IN ANCHORAGE - PLEASE SHARE - PLEASE CALL YOUR ASSEMBLY MEMBER

The Anchorage Assembly drafted an ordinance to ban the sale and possession of Kratom in Anchorage. They will be voting on it soon so we need everyone to contact them and tell them how Kratom has changed your life and where you would be without it.

This is a 2 part bill that also bans nitrous in any shape and form even for restaurant use. This poorly thought out bill bans all whip cream in Anchorage as it bans nitrous as a propellant in any products. There is no other way to make whip cream and even the products at the grocery store use nitrous as a propellant.

With all that needs to be fixed in this city I cant believe they are directing their focus at herbal supplements and whip cream.

We must act fast in order to stop this strange and thoughtless bill.

Here is the info to call.
