The Anchor River has been full of silvers the last couple weeks! You can see the cars in the parking area of the fishing spot in the background of the smoker photo.
Our first season owning and running the campground involved a lot of blood, sweat and tears. But man... days like today make it all worth it.
I'm out here smoking silver salmon that was caught just a short walk from where I'm standing.
The weather is perfect, and the mosquitos aren't out.
I love it here.

Snapped a photo of a little plane over our store 🛩️
Not pictured is the giant group of HUNDREDS of Sandhill Cranes flying past the campground yesterday. I wish I had thought to record the sound of all of them talking away as they flew by.
Summer really is coming to a close!

We have a new and improved fish cleaning table! This is an incredible upgrade from the previous fish cleaning table. Thank you Stan Marquiss & Lisa Marquiss for this generous gift to the campground 🐟

🚨THE BLUFF SITES OFFICIALLY HAVE SEPTIC HOOKUPS - woohoo!!! 🏕️
🪏Thanks to some hard work put in by owner Hunter, camp host Frank, and helper Aurora - the bluff sites are all set with full hookups for the 2027 season 🎉

You might want to look twice before stepping out of your camper door, we have had this momma moose and fresh baby walking through the park pretty frequently lately.

We were nearly fully booked for memorial day weekend, momma moose is happy the majority of you campers headed back to work 😂
