Drink of the week: Moscow Mule

Ingredients:
2oz Vodka
1/2-3/4oz fresh lime juice
4-6oz chilled Ginger beer (a spicy brand like Bundaberg or Fever-Tree)
Lime wheel or ledge for garnish
Ice

Directions:
1. Fill copper mug or highball glass with ice.
2. Add vodka and lime juice.
3. Pour the chilled ginger beer over the mixture.
4. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.
5. Top with a lime wheel or ledge.

Drink of the week: The Teacher's Aide

Ingredients:
2oz Vodka or Bourbon
3oz Sweet Iced Tea
3oz Lemonade
Garnish: Lemon wheel or fresh mint sprig

Directions:
1. Fill a tall glass with fresh ice
2. Pour the vodka or bourbon directly over the ice
3. Add sweet iced tea and lemonade
4. Stir gently for about 10 seconds to blend and chill
5. Garnish with a lemon wheel on the rim and serve.

Happy Thursday! I hope everybody's been having a wonderful week!

Since Hot Alma Nights is this Saturday, we will be open at 9am (instead of 10am). So, we will be open 9am-10pm.

Drink of the week: Back-to-school-tini

Ingredients:
2oz plain vodka
0.5oz coconut rum
0.5oz apple juice
1 splash of grenadine
Ice: for shaking

Directions:
1. Chill the glass: Fill a martini glass with ice and water to chill while making the drink, then dump before pouring.
2. Shake the base: Combine the vodka, coconut rum, and apple juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
3. Shake well: Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until the outside of the shaker frosts over.
4. Strain: Strain the chilled liquid into your empty martini glass.
5. Create the red layer: Slowly pour a splash of grenadine down the inside edge of the glass; it will sink to the bottom to create a beautiful, layered look.
