Sophie's Mart To those who knew my grandmother, Sophie E. In her honor, I chose to keep her spirit alive by opening Sophie's Mart!

Youmans was a kind and passionate woman who cared the most for her Faith, Family and her community in Kennedy Park of Allendale, SC. Helping my Grandma Sophie run her back porch of a convenience store in the summers of Allendale, SC, are some of my most fondest memories. Her store was a pillar in the local community as she sold a variety of essentials that everyone could enjoy. And till this day, my dad still praises how good her coffee was. To ensure my Grandma Sophie continues to be that pillar, I decided to launch my own Amazon store in her honor, Sophie's Mart, starting with my first two products: Dark Espresso and Medium Roast coffee! Dark Espresso - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Z78912W/ref=smop_skuctr_view

Medium Roast - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XWFMFRJ/ref=smop_skuctr_view

When Hurricane Isaias spawned eight tornadoes across the CSRA on October 10, one of them tore through a family farm that's been in the Bailey family for nearly 100 years near Waynesboro, Georgia. Days later, something beautiful happened: the community showed up. Here's what happened — and how you can help neighbors still recovering. That's what I'm sharing in the latest Around The Village post: "Neighbors Show Up: How Burke County, GA Came Together After Hurricane Isaias' Tornadoes". These are the moments that remind me why we built this community in the first place. Our Village is growing, and there's so much more ahead.
