🏈🍊 A Rivalry. A Tradition. A Cigar. 💨

When Tennessee and Alabama meet on the Third Saturday in October, there’s more than football on the line—there’s a cigar tradition more than 60 years in the making.

The tradition dates back to 1961, when Alabama athletic trainer Jim Goostree—a Tennessee alumnus—handed out ci**rs after Alabama’s 34–3 victory over the Vols. What began as a locker-room celebration eventually spread to fans, with the winning side lighting up after the game.

For decades, Alabama enjoyed the tradition more often than Vol Nation cared to admit. Then came October 2022. Tennessee ended a 15-game losing streak to Alabama with an unforgettable 52–49 victory in Neyland Stadium, and the orange-and-white cigar smoke returned in a BIG way. 🍊💨

Now it’s rivalry week again.

Stop by The Cigar Shoppe at City Farms and pick out your victory cigar before kickoff. Whether you’re watching from Neyland, your favorite chair, or joining us in the lounge, make sure you’re ready when that final whistle blows.

Because if the Vols get it done… you’re going to want a cigar ready. 🏈🔥
