🚨🐾 IMPORTANT PET TRAVEL UPDATE 🐾🚨

If you are traveling from the United States into Mexico through the **Lukeville Port of Entry** and plan to bring your dog, please be aware of the current screwworm requirements.

Due to the ongoing screwworm situation in Mexico, travelers bringing dogs across the border are being required to have **screwworm certification** for their pet. Without the required certification, your dog may **not be permitted to cross into Mexico**.

📍 This information applies to travelers crossing through the **Lukeville Port of Entry** and heading toward Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco) and surrounding areas.

We know there has been a lot of confusion surrounding this requirement, so we wanted to share this information with our travelers so you can be prepared before making the trip.

⚠️ Please make sure you have the proper documentation for your pet before heading to the border. Requirements can change, so we recommend confirming the current requirements with the appropriate border authorities before traveling.

We are simply sharing this information to help keep our community informed. We do not make or enforce these regulations.

🐾 Dog food has arrived at The Why Not Travel Store! 🐾

Another pallet of dog food is here and ready for pickup for travelers heading to Rocky Point! ❤️

If you're making the trip across the border, we'd be so grateful if you could take **one bag** of dog food with you and drop it off at **Barb's Dog Rescue**. Since only one bag can be taken across the border per traveler, every single person who helps makes a meaningful difference.
