16th -> 10th last night at Outlaw… missed set up and was roughed up a few times. Leah’s AAU basketball games today. If I get back in time I’ll have the mod at Woodhull.

Sorry to hear this… Always a great guy to talk to at the races. Bailey even sponsored Cayden’s first go-kart when he started racing. Prayers to his family and the entire Marlatt 99 team.

Canisteo- David L. Bailey, age 57, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, after a brief illness.

Dave was born on June 9, 1968, a son of the late H. Leo and Maxine I. (Thompson) Bailey. He was a graduate of Canisteo Central School. Over the years Dave worked for Asplundh Tree Service, Davey Tree Service, A.L. Blades and most recently Alfred University. One of his favorite past times was spending time working on the Marlatt Racing Rush Crate Late Model Racecar #99 and race nights in Woodhull.

Dave is survived by his three nephews, David (Sarabeth) Ames, Devin (Dakota) Ames, Daltin (Karen VanFleet) Ames, and loving companion Debbie Rollins; as well as many close friends.

Dave was predeceased by his parents; brother, Gary L. Bailey, Sr.; sister, Gale Bailey; as well as his dog, Waylon.

At Dave’s request, there will be no services.

Something like this hits hard. You can see some of yourself, your family and friends in someone like Kyle Busch. Racing was a big part of the man, but so was his family. You definitely never know what can take you and when. RIP Rowdy

Never ending… up early to get cars cleaned up. 10th —-> 7th with the mod on its first night. Had a water pump gasket blow out at the end. To resist sounding like a bitter old man… I hate this open motor, coil, short rod, left side style of racing. Run the hell out of it all the time. No longer to you drive the cars and have finesse. Not fun like it once was.

ISO… Steel body 9” Fox shock body only. Looking for two rear Fox shocks. I only need ones with good bodies to put internals in. Can have bent or broken shafts.
