A new chapter begins! New owners Joe and Jeanne Pierce, and Joe’s sister, Anne Pierce, will be the caretakers of Texas Star! Today is a little like sending your child off into the world! We’ve enjoyed Texas Star for more than 22 years, and although bittersweet, we’re looking forward to our own new adventures and seeing our little mom and pop shop grow and flourish in new ways!
We hope you’ll stop in and greet the new owners and give them your business. Word is they plan to reopen Thursday.
Glenn and I are forever grateful for all the friendships made through the years .
Our hearts are full.❤️❤️

Dear Friends,

We are happy to announce that Texas Star Trading Company will continue in good hands as we retire.
Abilene businessman Joe Pierce and his sister Anne Pierce will take ownership of the store next week, and veteran retailer John Bittrick will be the manager. All are community-oriented and are committed to building on Texas Star’s reputation as Abilene’s “Ambassador of Tourism.”
Our last official day will be this Saturday, September 26, and we invite you to stop by that day and have a cookie and let us thank you for your patronage.
Texas Star will be closed for several days next week for inventory and changeover. Carol will continue to be around for a while to help with the transition to new management.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our 22 years operating “The National Store of Texas” in downtown Abilene and getting to serve so many wonderful folks. Thank you for your business, your support, and your encouragement.
We’re excited about the next chapter in our lives, and we look forward to what the future holds for Texas Star Trading.
Thank you.

Carol and Glenn Dromgoole

You can come see us anytime, but you'll especially want to come shop Saturday! Beginning at 10 am, we'll be having some items from our store that need to find a new home! We've nurtured them for a while, and it's time for them to move on!
Browse a selection of gifts, shirts, books and souvenirs that will be priced at bargain prices!
PLUS ... there will be a vendor market in the park across the street, so plan to spend a day downtown shopping and dining.
We can't wait to see you!
