One of Argentina's most acclaimed wineries, El Enemigo has rocketed to superstardom in just a few vintages. El Enemigo is a joint venture between two prominent names in Argentine wine: Catena's winemaker, Alejandro Vigil, and Dr. Catena's younger daughter, Adrianna, drawn together by a passion for creating more approachable and mineral-driven wines that express the nuances of Mendoza’s special terroirs. From the southern Uco Valley, capturing the unique qualities of El Cepillo’s south-facing exposure, the 𝗘𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗼 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗼 𝗘𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘆𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 ($̶𝟭̶𝟱̶𝟴̶ $𝟭𝟮𝟯) stands out with a bold, ripe profile, revealing notes of olives, graphite and dark fruit, complemented by a juicy texture and a touch of chalk on the long finish.

Saurwein, the namesake brand of Jessica Saurwein, is a boutique South African winery where she focuses on handcrafting her two favourite cultivars, Pinot Noir and Riesling. Nom stands for nombulelo, gratitude in “Xhosa”, and Nomkhubulwane, a forgotten African goddess of agriculture. Made from grapes cultivated at 700m altitude, the 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝗶𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 ($̶𝟵̶𝟬̶ $𝟲𝟴) is restrained, compact and perfumed with raspberries, cream and ripe dark fruits on the nose. The palate shows a good concentration of fruit, smooth tannins and a pleasant silky finish. Charming, elegant and fresh.
