Shmoozi Renovation: Part 2 (The Floor Files!) 🕵️🐾

Remember when we said the floor design was a total secret? Well... it still is. 😏

The floor is officially IN - installed, gorgeous, and hiding under more protective covering than a crime scene. But because we love you (and because Shmoozi the cat can't keep a secret to save her life), here's exactly ONE peephole's worth of a look. 🔍

What we can confirm:
✅ It's a pattern
✅ There are circles involved... or are they stars? 👀
✅ The site inspector has walked across it 47 times and left zero complaints
✅ You will 100% be photographing your wine glass on it

What we cannot confirm: literally anything else. 🤐

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Shmoozi Wine & More was just featured by the amazing team over at adn_barreiro
For anyone who loves discovering the heartbeat of Barreiro, you know ADN Barreiro is the page for uncovering the best things our vibrant city has to offer. Having them shine a spotlight on us before our doors are even officially open is an incredible feeling.

Right now, we are knee-deep in renovations at our space on Rua Miguel Bombarda, working hard to bring you a cozy, welcoming spot to sip, share, and connect. Whether you're a seasoned wine lover looking for a rare bottle from Alentejo or just looking for a warm space to unwind with friends, we are building Shmoozi for you.

A massive thank you to ADN Barreiro for the love, and to everyone in the local community who has already reached out with kind words and excitement. We can't wait to welcome you all in soon!

IT’S OFFICIAL! We aren't just thinking about moving, we are making it happen! We’ve broken ground (or at least, we found a very enthusiastic cat to supervise the breaking of ground)! 🐱🚧

As you can see, our Chief Renovations Officer (pictured here, already demanding treats) is keeping a very close watch on the humans. The scaffolding is up, the paint is rolling, and we are well on our way to creating the new home for Shmoozi Wine & More.

Yes, there will be dust. Yes, there will be the terrible sound of construction. But most importantly, yes, there will be very, very good wine once we're done.

The journey to curate the perfect cellar for Shmoozi Wine & More has officially begun—and we knew exactly where it had to start. 📍

There’s no Shmoozi without soul, and there’s no Barreiro without Banda D’Além. 🍷✨

We spent an incredible afternoon diving into the historical connection between their vines and our local heritage. Tasting these wines isn't just about the notes; it’s about drinking in the history of our home. It’s personal, it’s meaningful, and it’s exactly the kind of "More" we’re bringing to your glass.

We’ve officially crossed a major milestone at Shmoozi Wine and More. With the electricity sorted, we are officially ready to pick up the tools and start the renovation.

The blueprints are off the table and the real work begins Shortly. We’re one step closer to pouring your favorite glass right here in Barreiro.
