Habang abala ang lahat sa “lab-grown meat,” may mas tahimik na nangyayari—ang industriya ng tsokolate ay unti-unting binago ang kinakain mo.

Sa 27 bansa, ang “Dairy Milk” ng Cadbury ay hindi na legally maituturing na tsokolate. Bakit? Dahil tinanggal na ang cocoa butter—ang pinaka-kaluluwa ng tsokolate.

Ganito ang galawan:
- Mahal ang cocoa butter, kaya pinalitan ito ng halo ng industrial oils
- Dinagdagan ng PGPR para hindi maghiwalay
- Nilagyan ng artificial vanilla mula sa petroleum para matakpan ang lasa

At ang pinaka-matalino nilang galaw?
Dahan-dahan nila itong binago—1% bawat ilang buwan—hanggang sa hindi mo na napansin na iba na ang lasa.
