“SAVE TO INVEST”



Some people like me, think that in order to afford the lifestyle we want, we just need to have a bigger salary. But I realized that having a bigger salary doesn’t matter if we know how to differentiate our needs from our wants. A big thanks to someone I admire because of his inspirational advice on how to save money and about financial management tips. Now I was able to obtain both the things I desired and those I was in need of. Cindy Mae here, and today I'd like to discuss how I managed to save money that I could use for my future needs, goals and projects.

I was motivated to take part in the "IPON CHALLENGE” that has been going around the internet. “What if I also do this?” I wondered. “This seems like a really good concept for me. I can have my savings if some folks can, I can too!” So I decided to have my own coin bank for me to be more motivated to set aside money for my savings. Every Friday, I promptly deposit any coins or bills that are still in my purse to my coin bank.

I had a 5-month time frame in mind for finishing this savings goal and luckily in just 5 months I was able to save a total amount of 51,430. In this stage of my life I am grateful and lucky to know how to save my salary because I believe that saving is not just about money, it is about a habit. The more you save, the more you are fulfilled. Come on guys, save what you can save, and don’t limit yourself from doing it. You just have to challenge YOURSELF.
