Our Story
Alvin and I started creating adornments since we were young and before we met each other. It was mainly our hobby, not a source of income but a way for us to release and relax. When we met and got each other as life partner, making these wonderful accessories was one of the things we do during our bonding time. Once, we travelled to another part of the country to wander and get our supp
lies for our "crafting". Some close friends knew what we were doing and were buying some of our crafts. It was such a good feeling when we see them appreciating and loving our works. We were so happy to share them! In late 2018, we lost our main source of income. We were in our lowest point that time, and were left with nothing but our crafting supplies. We did not know how we would survive. The pressure and stress to live was breaking us. It was then when we use our "hobby" as our way to distress and refocus. Our creations have been the products of our own therapy. It was February of 2019 when a friend invited us to join a local Bazaar-Binhi Mindful Market. There, we displayed some of our works and finally the brand was created - Coolture! Slowly, we got back on track with the help of our family, new and old time friends and a meaningful community. We realise that sharing our passion through our simple, colourful, and beautiful jewelleries and accessories can put smile on someone's face, spark joy, start conversations and brighten up the day. That is such an amazing thing and we feel like we help make this world a little better! Now, we have been creating full time. Our once a "hobby" is now our livelihood. We are happy and we are grateful to you all! Salamat!
