Lindungawan Showroom and Cafe

Lindungawan Showroom and Cafe Window to Mindanao's authentic and indigenous crafts and food products

Lindungawan Showroom & Cafe is an off-shoot of the Father Vincent Cullen Tulugan Learning & Development Center(FVCTLDC) Project of the Diocese of Malaybalay. It was established in 2010 under Pamamahandi, a marketing mechanism that is designed to support the livelihood activities and products of forest dependent indigenous peoples and cottage industries in Bukidnon & Misamis Oriental particularly b

ut not exclusively to the Higaonon communities. Lindungawan is envisioned to contribute to grassroots economy by providing long term marketing assistance to its business partners and help in the augmentation of their income by patronizing their local skills, local labor, locally-available materials and development of ntfp-based livelihoods. It commits to offer cultural and environment-friendly products of high quality and standards to its target market. While it supports its business partners, Lindungawan also generates its own income that would support its mother organization's ongoing social projects that are in line with educational, environmental and capacity building mission. At the beginning of 2016, Lindungawan became the third branch of the San Isidro Labrador Diocesan Multi-purpose Cooperative (SILDIMCO). As Lindungawan embarks on its new status as a cooperative, its also takes on higher level of marketing activities by catering products from other IP communities within Mindanao. Lindungawan is an active partner of NTFP-EP Philippines and a trading partner of Custom Made Crafts Center (CMCC). Aside from being the market link between the community producers and artisans and buyers, it also partners with NTFP-EP Philippines in mentoring community-based enterprises.

🕊️ NOTICE OF TEMPORARY CLOSURE | A MESSAGE OF GRATITUDE AND LEGACY

With deep gratitude and a thankful heart, we share that Lindungawan Showroom is temporarily closed until further notice, following its transition to new management under SILDIMCO. As part of this transition, this page will also be shut down.

Since 2006, Lindungawan Showroom has been more than a marketplace. It has been a home for stories, culture, and shared purpose. For nearly two decades, we have walked alongside Indigenous Peoples and local communities, helping promote and give value to community-made products—most especially the hinabol textile of the Higaunon tribe, woven with ancestral knowledge, patience, and identity.

This journey was made possible through the guidance and vision of our mother organization, the Father Vincent Cullen Tulogan Learning and Development Center (FVCTLDC), which has also concluded its operations. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the previous heads and leaders of FVCTLDC and the Josefa Segovia Foundation, Inc. for their leadership, commitment, and vision in shaping Lindungawan into a space of learning, culture, and solidarity.

We also gratefully acknowledge our partners who journeyed with us through the years, especially the Indigenous Peoples Apostolate (IPA), the Diocese of Malaybalay, and NTFP - EP Philippines. Your support, accompaniment, and shared advocacy for Indigenous Peoples and community enterprises strengthened Lindungawan’s mission and reach.

Our sincere gratitude goes to our community partner suppliers and enterprises, whose skills and commitment gave life to Lindungawan’s shelves and stories—AGMIHICU, Kalandang Weavers, Sunflower Weavers, Pauhangan, and other community enterprises. Your craftsmanship, cooperation, and trust allowed culture and livelihoods to flourish.

We give special recognition and deepest gratitude to our Business Manager, Mrs. Noime Solia, who dedicated 30 years of faithful service to Indigenous Peoples and to the Catholic Church through Lindungawan. Her perseverance, integrity, and love for community have left an indelible mark on this journey.

We also extend our sincere thanks to all the workers and staff of Lindungawan Showroom, past and present, whose dedication, care, and hard work sustained this space through the years.

Our deepest respect and gratitude go to the community leaders—our Datus and Baes—for their trust, wisdom, and steadfast support. Lindungawan stood strong because of your leadership and partnership.

To our customers, partners, advocates, and friends: thank you for believing in community enterprises and for supporting products that carry culture, dignity, and meaning.

Lindungawan’s doors may be closed for now, but its story, relationships, and impact will always remain part of our shared history.

Daghang salamat. Padayon sa pag-ila ug pagpasidungog sa atong kultura ug komunidad. 🌾

: The Giant bee is one native honey bee species found in our upland forests 🐝 The Tagbanua and Pala'wan indigenous communities of Palawan, and the Dumagat in the Sierra Madre mountains are only a few of the indigenous groups who have long harvested forest honey (locally known as pulot) for food, for trade, and even cultural purposes.

Do you know where your honey comes from, who harvested it, and if it comes from Philippine honey bees buzzing around our forests? How do we know when honey is pure and wild?
