REDS OF THE CÔTE DE BEAUNE. Burgundy’s great white wine country makes exceptional reds, too. This edition of the DISCOVER BURGUNDY Box Set Series brings together 3 producers working across the length of the region, from its southern borders to the slopes beneath the Corton Grand Cru hill in the north.

More than 70% of the Côte de Beaune’s output is red wine. There is just one red Grand Cru, Corton, which is part of why the best of them remain among Burgundy’s most interesting and fairly-priced finds.

• Domaine de Cassiopée Bourgogne Rouge En Gerlieus 2023
• Henri Magnien Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru La Coutière 2022
• Claire Naudin Ladoix Premier Cru La Corvée 2023

Produced in small quantities and rarely available together, DM us today for this limited release offered at a preferential price while allocations last.

REDS OF THE CÔTE DE BEAUNE. Burgundy’s great white wine country makes exceptional reds, too. This edition of the DISCOVER BURGUNDY Box Set Series, brings together 3 producers working across the length of the region, from the far south to the slopes beneath the Corton Grand Cru hill in the north.

More than 70% of the Côte de Beaune’s output is red wine. Its reds have just one Grand Cru to their name, Corton, which is part of why the best of them remain among Burgundy’s most interesting and fairly priced finds.

These three are among the reasons to pay attention.

The 𝗠𝗜𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 has announced the first-ever 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, recognizing one of the world’s most revered wine regions. 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘆 is where the modern understanding of terroir first took root, and where generations of growers have continued to deepen its meaning through their work in the vineyards and cellar. Across the region, family-run domaines remain at the heart of this enduring tradition.

We warmly congratulate the Burgundy producers in this inaugural selection whom we have come to know over the years and are proud to have represented in the Philippines. It has been a privilege to share their wines with our community, and we are delighted to see their dedication recognized on this landmark list.

𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗡𝗔𝗨𝗗𝗜𝗡 | 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗶 𝗡𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻-𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱. Based in Magny-lès-Villers, the one village in Burgundy that straddles both the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune and the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, the domaine may not be in the most famous address in the Côte d’Or, but Claire Naudin has been giving conventional notion good challenge.

The estate in fact includes some of the most prestigious plots in Burgundy: 𝗔𝗹𝗼𝘅𝗲-𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗶𝘅, 𝗡𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀-𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀-𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 É𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘇𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘅. But Naudin treats the holdings in the higher reaches of the Hautes-Côtes with equal respect and care, applying the same methods and measured approach in vineyard and 𝘤𝘶𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦.

She has been farming organically and is deliberate with decisions around certification, cautious that any official standard tends to homogenize, thus impacting the distinct terroir traits the domaine tries carefully to preserve. There is confidence as well in declassifying wines when seen as necessary, especially with the unpredictability of climate change. In the cellar, the baseline is to work with native yeasts, minimal sulfur, extended lees aging, and no fining or filtration.

We carry a limited allocation across her range, from Aligoté and Hautes-Côtes cuvées through to Grand Cru Échezeaux. Now is a good opportunity to try them.

After studies in geology and agronomy and training in Australia and New Zealand, Claire Naudin took over Domaine Henri Naudin-Ferrand from her father Henri in 1994. The estate covers 22 hectares across the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, with smaller parcels in Aloxe-Corton, Ladoix, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Échezeaux.

Magny-lès-Villers is the only village in Burgundy that straddles both Hautes-Côtes appellations.

𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗟𝗔 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗘𝗥 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀. In continuing partnership with Ayala Land Premier, we held a series of Wine and Food Pairing workshops for Sales Leaders and top sellers, part of a program designed to hone the professional and social fluency of the people who represent the Ayala Land Premier brand. This latest installment continues a sustained engagement through which Ayala Land Premier takes a comprehensive approach to strengthening their teams.

The sessions were built on an interactive and studied approach to wine and food pairing, anchored on the principles of bridge, complement, and contrast across taste profiles. The major learning for participants was a working framework applicable in everyday professional and social scenarios. The food pairing was created in collaboration with 𝗚𝗿𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗶, who ensured the dégustation sequence was on point from start to finish.

Premium Wine Exchange is glad to take an active role in this initiative, bringing the social and relationship-building dimension that wine and food play in business interactions into the development programs of the organizations we work with.

𝗕𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗜-𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜, Montalcino, Tuscany. Successive generations of the family helped establish the identity of Brunello by focusing on 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘰 and long aging. The estate made the first Brunello di Montalcino in 1888, becoming the undisputed reference for what Brunello could be.
At the heart of Biondi-Santi is clone 𝗕𝗕𝗦𝟭𝟭 (𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶-𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶 𝟭𝟭), selected through generations of massal selection and officially recognized as the first Italian vine clone named after a single producer. Grown at altitude on 𝘨𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰 and marl soils, the resulting wines are notable for their structure, freshness, and remarkable longevity.

𝗥𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗼 𝗱𝗶 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗼, 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗱𝗶 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗼, and the highly sought-after 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗱𝗶 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮, are available in limited quantities, including a couple of rare vertical collections. Send us a message for inquiries and order assistance.

As Father’s Day approaches, we take time to recognize a group of father-winegrowers whose influence extends beyond a single generation. 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻 handpicked Napa vineyards he believed belonged in the league of Bordeaux’s First Growths. 𝗝𝗼𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝘁𝘇 pioneered single-vineyard Napa Cabernet with Martha’s Vineyard which later earned a perfect 100 from Wine Enthusiast. 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗗𝘂𝗻𝗻 was instrumental in establishing Howell Mountain as its own AVA, producing mountain Cabernets built to age. 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵 planted in Oakville and received California’s first perfect 100-point score from Robert Parker. After co-founding Opus One, 𝗧𝗶𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘃𝗶 and family chose Pritchard Hill to make wine from a singular estate, authoring further chapters into an already monumental Mondavi legacy and with his children working alongside him while blazing trails in their own right.

𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 • 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝘁𝘇 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿 • 𝗗𝘂𝗻𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘆𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 • 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘆𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 & 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘆 • 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘂𝗺 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲

These wines are available at feature prices from 𝟭𝟮 - 𝟮𝟭 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. Click the link in our bio for our 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁.
