A JUBILEE CHURCH | It is with great joy and gratitude that we share to you a very special blessing that our parish received last Sunday (October 01) on the Feast of St. Therese, our revered patroness.

In his homily, ArchB Gilbert announced that on OCTOBER 15, 2023 to JANUARY 07, 2024, Pope Francis will open the JUBILEE YEAR IN HONOR OF ST. THERESE. Thus, declaring our parish (St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish - Lipa City) and the Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in Sta. Teresita, Batangas as 2 JUBILEE CHURCHES in the Archdiocese of Lipa.

Come and visit our church, the sepulcher, and the first-class relic of St. Therese! Let us all together experience her powerful intercession and be inspired to follow her “Little Way”, our pathway to heaven!

FEAST OF ST. THERESE | Today, October 01, the Church celebrates the Feast of our beloved patroness, St. Therese of the Child Jesus.

St. Therese was born in Lisieux, France on January 02, 1873. She entered Carmel at the age of 15 and died in 1897 at the age of 24. She was canonized in 1925 and named a Doctor of the Church in 1997.

St. Therese, also known as the Little Flower, lived a short but profound life. She described her life as a "little way of spiritual childhood." She lived each day with an unshakable confidence in God's love. "What matters in life," she wrote, "is not great deeds, but great love." (Story of a Soul)

As we honor and celebrate her today, let us pray that the “Little Way” of St. Therese — that of doing the ordinary, with extraordinary love — be understood, loved and lived by all of us. May our lives be a reflection of her life, let us strive for holiness in our everyday lives.

May our desire to celebrate her inspire us to live in love and follow the path of holiness in the small acts which punctuate everyday life.
