NANAY STORE

NANAY STORE tindahan ni nanay, bili lang kayo! Owned by Diony and Ester Legaspi and built in 1989, Nanay Store is first known as Legaspi Store. Sari-sari stores are scarce.

During that time, there were few people who lived in Perpetual Village. Ester decides to have a small sari-sari store in front of their house while tending to their children (three at that time). In front of the store was a huge open space that where a basketball/tennis court was built. Beside the court stood the community's chapel. This proved to be the best thing that had happened for the Legasp

i family. The store remained opened up to this day because of the steady stream of basketball players, and now tennis enthusiasts as well, not to mention the yearly sports tournaments and special events once in a while. During the course of time, the store was associated to one person, Ester Legaspi. Everyone knows her and the children will always be calling her "nanay" everywhere she goes. She's known for being cool-headed and being able to mediate in conflicts. Her children often chided her that she adopted a lot of kids. After 25 years of business, the store was renovated twice, and now it stood with a computer shop, JDA Computer Shop, owned by JR Legaspi and his partners. This brings a new stream of clientele. Old and young continue to enjoy the homey atmosphere that the store and the shop has to offer.
