Brave made a chemical reaction using baking soda + vinegar + food coloring.

Threading beads looks like simple play, but it’s actually a foundational developmental activity.

Fine Motor Development ✋
Picking up small beads and pushing them onto a pipe cleaner strengthens the small muscles in the fingers and hands.
This is called the pincer grasp — the exact same muscle movement needed later for holding a pencil, using scissors, and buttoning clothes.

Hand-Eye Coordination 👀
Toddlers have to look at the hole in the bead and guide the pipe cleaner through it. This builds the connection between what their eyes see and what their hands do.

Cognitive Skills: Sorting + Patterns 🧠
You can turn it into learning by asking:
"Can you make a red-blue-red pattern?"
"Can you find all the yellow beads?"
This introduces early math concepts like patterns, sequencing, counting, and color recognition.

Focus, Patience + Problem Solving
Threading takes time and concentration. If the bead doesn’t go on, they learn to try a different angle. This builds persistence and calm focus — key skills for school later.

Bilateral Coordination
One hand holds the pipe cleaner steady while the other hand threads. This is the skill we use for cutting with scissors, tying shoes, and writing.
