The Archdiocesan Shrine of San Miguel Arcangel in the Municipality of Argao, Cebu was one of the eight vicarages established by the Augustinian Definitory of 1599. It was placed under the mission district of Sialo (now, Valladolid in Carcar). The church has Baroque Rococo details such as the altar, wooden pulpits, front and side doors.
The Archdiocesan Shrine of San Miguel Arcangel and its parishioners commemorated its first founding anniversary celebration last May 17, 2024, 290 years after it was established.
