One of the biggest reasons behind our previous post is to break the stigma surrounding cannabis.

Over the past few months, we’ve made an effort to have conversations with people from different generations and different walks of life. And one thing keeps coming up.

The moment you mention cannabis, people immediately picture a stereotype. reggae, Rasta, hippie culture, or a certain way of dressing and living.

And yes, those communities have undeniably played a huge role in cannabis culture and its history. We respect that.

But cannabis does not belong to one culture, one genre, one profession, one generation, or one type of person.

You can listen to hip-hop.
You can listen to reggae.
You can listen to metal.
You can wear a suit to work.
You can be an artist, an athlete, a business owner, or just somebody living an ordinary life.

Cannabis use does not automatically define your entire identity.

And if we really want to make it simple: cannabis also has recognized medical uses. Medicine isn’t reserved for one stereotype of a person.

That’s the conversation we want to help open.

The Turf was never built to put people into another box. It was built to challenge the boxes people have already created.

Different people. Different cultures. Different lifestyles. One Smoke!

Break the stigma. Educate responsibly. Keep the conversation going

For everyone saying The Turf is transitioning into hardcore/metal. FYI, did you know Jabar also listened to Korn, Slipknot, and Greyhoundz? And not just that he also listened to The Cranberries, The Beatles, Queen, and so much more.

But beyond that, The Turf has never belonged to one particular genre.

We don’t care what profession you’re in, what sport you play, what scene you belong to, or what kind of music you listen to. Hip hop, reggae, hardcore, metal, punk, rock, or anything in between you’re welcome here.

The Turf has always been about ONE SMOKE.

Different people. Different music. Different passions. Different lifestyles. One community.

You don’t have to dress a certain way, listen to a certain genre, or belong to a certain crowd to be part of The Turf.

Here at The Turf, we are all ONE.

You don’t have to be a cannabis user to support medical cannabis.

Compassion doesn’t require consumption.

Again, you don’t have to use cannabis to believe that patients deserve safe, legal access to the treatment they need.
