NZ HEMA Supplies – Looking Ahead to 2027!

I'm currently putting together a bit of a roadmap for NZ HEMA Supplies for 2027, and I'd love to get some feedback from the HEMA community!

Where would you like to see NZ HEMA Supplies expand next?

Are there particular brands you'd like us to stock? Equipment we're currently missing? A wider range of weapons, protective gear, clothing, or something else entirely?

I'm always looking for ways to improve and grow the business, and your feedback will help shape where we focus our efforts next year.

Drop your ideas in the comments! I'd love to hear what everyone thinks.

Was up late last night unpacking the Superior fencing and Regenyei order.

And today I'm packing a bunch of it up to get it out to you guys ASAP!

Superior Fencing stock has arrived!

I'm away until Monday and will go through it and start sending orders from then.

LAST CHANCE! To take advantage of the 10% off for preorders which will finish on Monday!

HF Armory and Regenyei are both on the way and due this or next week as well for those waiting on stock from either of those places.

As always thanks for your support.

I need to fall on my sword here.

I’ve just discovered that customer messages sent through the NZ HEMA Supplies website have been getting caught in a spam folder.

I’m not sure exactly how long this has been happening, but I’ve found messages going back as far as August.

It’s probably a little late for some of those enquiries, but I’m working through them all now and replying to everyone who contacted us.

Apologies to anyone who thought I was ignoring them. It definitely wasn’t intentional, and I’ll be making sure this doesn’t happen again.

Thanks for everyones understanding

A small favour from the NZ HEMA community!

We’ve had a couple of instances recently where people who are new to HEMA, or outside the usual community, have been a little hesitant about ordering from NZ HEMA Supplies simply because they don’t know us yet.

Most of the support for NZ HEMA Supplies has always come through word of mouth within the community, but that’s something a new customer obviously can’t see.

So, if you’ve purchased something from us before, I’d really appreciate it if you could take a minute to leave an honest review here on our page.

It would go a long way toward helping new customers feel more confident ordering from us, and it also helps me see what we’re doing well and where we can improve.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the support you’ve given NZ HEMA Supplies.

Our first Superior Fencing order is finally complete and should arrive in approximately 2–4 weeks.

We’re still running 10% off all Superior Fencing pre-orders until the shipment arrives. Once it lands, the discount will end.

All protective gear in this order is black, with stock spread across multiple sizes, so some sizes may sell out faster than others.

If you’ve been waiting to order, now is the best time to secure your size and save 10%.

For those of you who can read... (or at least pretend to).

*Federico Ghislieri's Rules of Many Knightly Exercises* is well worth a spot on your bookshelf. Whether you're interested in rapier, historical fencing, or period treatises, it's a solid read and a great resource.

It's also written by one of our own, Mike Smallridge, so if you're looking to support the New Zealand HEMA community, this is a great way to do it.

Hello everyone, I am writing to inform you that UFC 6, hosted by Canterbury Historical Fencing Club, is approaching rapidly. If you require any last-minute equipment assistance, please notify me and I will ensure timely delivery during the competition, eliminating delivery costs.

Furthermore, I am placing an order with HF Armory and can facilitate any specific requests you may have, streamlining the logistics process for you.

Something a little different is happening behind the scenes at NZ HEMA Supplies.

Over the last while I’ve been working on giving the brand a bit of a facelift, new logo, updated images, cleaner look, same passion for HEMA.

The goal was to make things feel more like what NZ HEMA Supplies has become over the years. Still community focused, still run by a passionate HEMA enthusiast, just with a sharper identity going forward.

You’ll start seeing the new look roll out across the page, website and gear over the next little while. Keen to hear what everyone thinks once it’s all live.

Big thanks to everyone who has supported the business so far. Pretty excited for what’s next.
