Backcountry was founded in the heart of the McKenzie country in the South Island of New Zealand .When you enter our Backcountrygifts shop or web site you get the feeling that the rural and outback lifestyle has well and truly come to the city bringing with it many quirky, stylish, functional and affordable lines for you to choose from.

We have it all, from large framed prints, oilskin clothing, hunting tee shirts, hand made wood products, furniture, tin signs or beautiful ceramics and glassware.
