Sunshine Is Back!

Celebrating a bit of Sunshine today with Lawson’s. Packed inside these retro cans is a whole lot of liquid sunshine, with two beers which have a foot in both the East and West Coast brewing traditions.

Pouring a golden hued amber, these are citrusy oily, tropical beauties which are immediately satisfying in a way that few beers are. Balanced yet bitter, tropical yet crisp - these keep us coming back for more - time and time again!

Despite both being DIPAs at 8%, these are definitely two different beers which must be tried side by side. The original Double Sunshine is a bigger beer with a double dry hopping of Citra, while Sip of Sunshine somehow maintains flavour but with increased sipability. Just great summer beers!

Maine Beer Co / Breakfast and Lunch Is Served!

Guess this is brunch? Fresh drop of the legendary Breakfast and Lunch combo from Maine Beer Co is now online and ready.

Hazy these may be, but they are no juice-bombs. With more than a nod toward the West Coast IPAs of yesteryear, these beers are cranking a nice bitterness to balance out the pine, citrus and savory notes which are in abundance. Unconventional though it may be, we recommend Lunch before Breakfast if you’re drinking these in order!

Nightmare Brewing Co / Shekkeh

Pouring an alluring hue of deep red, with a bright, floral and zesty aroma, this beer is one of our absolute summer favourites. Black cherry, pomegranate arils and lime zest take the forefront of the flavour profile, making for a beer which is never overwhelming. With subtle layers of flavour and aromatic notes from the Damask Rose, it’s endlessly refreshing!

Autodidact X Bad Bones DIPA Collab!

Happy Monday!

Oh glorious day, with sun raining down upon us and a day off work (in the Netherlands anyway!). What better way to spend it than sitting down with a southern hemisphere packed DIPA? Broken Teeth - the Collab between Autodidact and Bad Bones - is one of the best we’ve tried in recent months and although it won’t break your teeth, it may melt your tastebuds. Stonefruit and white grape all up in your grill on this one.

If you’re looking for something a little more, ermm, chill? Then Low Country isn’t a bad place to land - malt-forward, but not sweet, flavourful, but not cloying - it’s a great interpretation of one of the classic English session beers.

⭐Broken Teeth (Bad Bones Collab) - DIPA with Nelson, Nectaron, Southern Cross, and Nelson Hop Kief.
⭐Low Country - Dark Mild

Tipping Animals X Messorem / Moosey Juicy + Jungle Ritual

Whole lot of Southern hemisphere hops out there today, with Superdelic, Motueka, Southern Cross, Nelson Sauvin cropping up in their juiciest forms in Moosey Juicy and Jungle Ritual.

Moosey Juicy is another great hop-forward banger from Tripping Animals, this time teaming up to with Messorem produce a beer which is greater than the sum of its (already amazing) parts. Superdelic, Citra, Motueka and Southern Cross in this one resulting in a perfect mix of lime zest, grapefruit and stonefruit in a not-so-subtle sipper!

Ok who are we kidding - this is not being sipped, it’s being smashed! Great beer in a long line of great beers from Tripping Animals!
