New arrivals!

Arran 14 Year Old — Single malt from the Isle of Arran, Scotland. Fourteen years in ex-bourbon casks give this one a clean, coastal character with vanilla, citrus, and a gentle spice. One of the most approachable age-statement malts from the island distillery.

Shenk's Homestead Bourbon — A seasonal release from Michter's, inspired by a 19th-century Pennsylvania distillery. Soft and sweet, with stone fruit, honey, and an easy warmth. Each batch is a little different, this one's worth grabbing while it's here.

Old Forester Bourbon — The original. George Garvin Brown's 1870 recipe, still going. Warm oak, dried fruit, and a spicy finish. A no-nonsense Kentucky straight bourbon that earns its place behind any bar.

Akashi White Oak Sherry Cask — Japanese single malt finished in sherry casks. Rich and layered: dark fruit, toffee, subtle nuttiness. A nice reminder that Japan can do sherry-forward whisky just as well as anyone.

The story behind the bottle:

Wynand Fockink has been around since 1679. That's not a marketing line, that's just a fact. From a small distillery on the Pijlsteeg in Amsterdam, they have been making Dutch liqueurs and jenevers the same way for centuries, and they see no reason to change that.

The tasting room looks like it did a hundreds of years ago. No rebrand, no redesign, no trendy labels. Just good spirits, made with care, sold to people who know what they are looking for.

What sets them apart is the range. Wynand Fockink produces dozens of jenevers and an almost overwhelming selection of traditional Dutch liqueurs, each with its own name, its own story, and its own recipe that has been around longer than most countries. From classic oude jenever to fruit liqueurs and herbal digestifs, there is always something new to discover, even if the recipes themselves are anything but new.

Small batch. Big legacy.
Michter's has been making whiskey the hard way since 1753, and this short film shows exactly why that matters. From the barrel house to the bottle, no shortcuts, no compromises.
Come find out what all the fuss is about. Michter's is in store now at Cane & Grain.

Spring cocktail suggestion!

Doragrossa Bitter over ice, topped with Artisan Bubbly Soda Water served in a highball glass. That's it. Simple, beautiful, delicious.

Doragrossa is a Turin-based producer reviving the ancient liqueur traditions of Piedmont, dating back to the 18th century when Turin's distillers were the finest in Europe. Their Bitter is built on a complex botanical base of wormwood, gentian, rhubarb, and sweet and bitter orange. Bittersweet, aromatic, and deeply Italian. 🇮🇹

Artisan Drinks Co. from the UK keeps things pure and honest: just water, a pinch of bicarbonate of soda, and effervescence. Zero calories, no fuss. The perfect neutral canvas that lets a great spirit shine.

Both available at Cane & Grain.

Weekly Staff Pick, Luuk's pick of the week: Alipus San Andrés Mezcal

Not just a mezcal, a movement.
Alipus is a social project where nine independent family distilleries in Oaxaca bottle their own mezcal under one name, each with full creative freedom and no binding contracts. Real people, real craft, no compromise. Mezcaleria Berlin

The San Andrés comes from Santa Maria La Pila, high in the Oaxacan hills, made by Don Valente García Juárez using traditional roasting, native yeasts and small copper pot stills. Espadin and Bicuishe agave, earthy, smoky, complex and honest to its core.

One of the most authentic bottles we stock.

Meet Black Tears Dry Spiced Rum, the world's first dry spiced Cuban rum, named after the iconic Cuban song Lágrimas Negras. Born in the heart of Cuba and spiced with coffee, cocoa, and the subtle heat of ají dulce sweet chilli pepper, it's bold, bittersweet, and unlike any spiced rum you've tried. Low sugar, full character. Pure Cuban soul in a bottle.

Now pair it with Artisan Barrel Smoked Cola, not your average mixer. This seriously grown-up cola opens with classic cola and cinnamon, builds into natural oakwood smoke, and finishes with vanilla and citrus. Made from 100% natural ingredients, with 15% less sugar than Coca-Cola.
Together? The smoky depth of the cola wraps around the coffee and cocoa notes of Black Tears like they were made for each other.

Some bottles tell a story. This one starts with snow.

Brewed in Niigata prefecture, a region celebrated for its pristine snowmelt water and a centuries-old tradition of low-temperature fermentation. The Gohyakumangoku rice is polished down to its starchy core, removing everything that doesn't belong in your glass. At 50% polish, half of every grain is sacrificed before brewing even begins.

The result: full-bodied and creamy, with aromas of apple, flavours of melon and cucumber, and a crisp, clean finish. SOTO Sake

New in store!
The Lost Explorer started as an award-winning mezcal brand with a mission: bring the world closer to the true, natural flavours of agave. Now they're doing the same with tequila, and the results speak for themselves.

Crafted in collaboration with Maestro Tequilero Enrique de Colsa, a legend with over 30 years of experience behind some of Mexico's most celebrated spirits, this Reposado is made from 100% Blue Weber agave, grown for 6 to 7 years in the lowlands of Jalisco.

Distilled in small batches, double distilled, and rested in American oak barrels, Sauternes wine barrels and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks picking up notes of vanilla, warm spice and toasted oak while keeping that vibrant agave character front and centre.
