UNICEF reported that 23% of girls in Nigeria had missed school in the previous 12 months because of their period.

Think about that for a moment.

A girl should be able to sit in class, take a test, participate in activities and focus on her dreams—even when she is on her period.

Making that possible takes more than providing pads. It also means access to clean and private facilities, accurate menstrual health information, and an environment where girls don’t feel ashamed to talk about their periods.

What do you think schools should prioritise first to make things easier for girls during their periods?
