On Friday 6 November, the evening before our Burgundy W**e Fair in Rosport, Claude de Nicolay joins us at 14, rue Notre Dame. She’ll pour three w**es from her family’s estate in Savigny-lès-Beaune and talk you through the land, the people and the stories behind each bottle.

An hour and a half, a small table and the person who knows these w**es best. We’ll speak French and English.

The green curtain.

The entrance is all raw materials and sharp lines. Step through the gree curtain, and you’re in a warmer room, with softer tones and objects from the family’s history. We hung it there as a passage between generations, and as your first step deeper into the world of WENGLER.

The w**e shelves on 14, rue Notre Dame.

Charline and Gérard Wengler keep their own bottles on these same shelves in their private cellars. We put the same ones in at 14, rue Notre Dame on purpose.

It’s a small way of bringing the people behind the house into the new address.
