The Federation of Kenya Employers actively represents over 4,000 enterprises who are both direct and indirect members with over 1.2 million employees. FKE has an excellent working relationship with International Organisation of Employers, International Labour Organisation and Business Africa. It enjoys a general consultative status at the International Labour Organization.

The Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) hosted a high-level delegation from GardaWorld Security Kenya, led by Mr. Victor Komu, HR Director for Africa, and Mr. Rishi Ahluwalia, Country Director for Kenya, for a courtesy visit to Ms. Jacqueline Mugo, EBS, Executive Director and CEO of FKE.

GardaWorld Security, formerly KK Security, is a global leader in integrated security solutions with a strong presence across Kenya. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in areas such as industrial relations, workforce development, and policy advocacy.

Mr. Komu highlighted the challenges facing the security sector and emphasized the need for stronger industry representation through FKE. He expressed interest in joining FKE’s Policy Working Group to support sector advancement.

Ms. Mugo reaffirmed FKE’s commitment to supporting members through advocacy and practical solutions. She appreciated GardaWorld’s continued engagement and its key role in Kenya’s economy.

The visit underscored shared goals to enhance cooperation and build impactful partnerships for the benefit of the security sector and the wider employer community.

The Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE), an implementing partner of the ILO Better Regional Migration Management (BRMM) Project, hosted officials from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Destiny Path Foundation and Longitude Finance who are also key implementing partners in the project, for a monitoring visit.

Funded by the UK FCDO, the BRMM Project aims to strengthen fair and safe labour migration governance in East and Horn of Africa by improving policies, protecting migrant workers’ rights, and fostering regional cooperation.

The implementing team shared a report on the impact of the project, including the numbers and the ripple effect it has had. The meeting also provided a platform to discuss challenges encountered during implementation and strategies for enhancing the project’s effectiveness and long-term sustainability.
