Proud to have completed the ACORNS 10 Programme for early-stage female entrepreneurs! Forever grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with such an inspiring community of women in business.

A special thank you to my fellow ACORNS – Gwen Ryan, n FCA, Shelly Rourke, , and Fiona Dunne – and to our brilliant Lead Entrepreneur, . Over the past six months, Ireland Exclusive has grown in confidence and direction thanks to the support and structure of the programme. I’m proud to be part of the wider ACORNS network and look forward to continuing the journey together.

It was an honour to wear this new and exquisite handwoven garment to last night’s CIF West Gala Dinner. The Galway Shawl is a historic Irish garment, traditionally worn by women in the west of Ireland, particularly in Galway. Made from fine wool, often woven and finished with decorative fringes, it provided warmth and elegance. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, it became a symbol of Irish rural life, frequently passed down through generations. The shawl is immortalised in Irish folk music, particularly in the song The Galway Shawl, reinforcing its cultural significance. However, with industrialisation and changing fashions, the use of locally woven shawls declined. In a revival of this heritage, the Galway Wool Co-op has collaborated with Annie Gambrill of Killala Woolcraft, a member of the Galway Artisans Collective, to create a handwoven Galway Shawl using DK worsted Galway wool as part of the Báinín Collection. This design celebrates Ireland’s only native sheep breed, showcasing its strength and softness in a plain weave design. Annie’s craftsmanship highlights the beauty of worsted Galway wool’s natural texture while promoting sustainable, locally sourced materials. The Galway Shawl is not only a nod to the past but a step toward a more sustainable future for Irish textiles, supporting local farmers, artisans, and the revival of traditional wool crafts. There are candles, and there are candles. Ireland Exclusive's bespoke candle is hand-poured in Ireland and is made of soy wax. That means it will burn cleanly right to the end. It is in our Christmas hamper, because nothing gets in unless it is perfect.

Ireland Exclusive is a company firmly committed to ESG. Sustainability is woven into our DNA like Irish tweed. From sourcing top quality artisan produce from makers who themselves are constantly working on lowering their carbon footprint to using recycled and recyclable packaging. Our newest is planted with basil seeds!

Our bespoke candles are made from natural soy wax and fragrance with essential oils. Our artisan crafts and foods are made by people in small batches. The skincare we stock is similarly eco-conscious, often made with under-used treasures such as seaweed. Our woodwork is made from fallen native trees.

We are delighted to announce our newest collaboration is Sláinte Sea Moss - a great example of a business that has sustainability as the essence of their business.
