The VI-VE wine produced by Bodegas Valdelana is a tribute to the farmers of the Álava region. VI-VE is displayed on all licence plates of tractors and trailers - VI represents VITORIA the capital of Álava and VE stands for SPECIAL VEHICLE.

The wine is made using the traditional method of carbonic maceration, where entire bunches are fermented without squeezing, making it very aromatic with aromas and flavours of fresh red berries, floral notes and a liquorice finish.

This Montsant is full-bodied and rich, with a velvety texture, boasting intense aromatics and vibrant red fruit.

Very versatile with food, great with lamb, pork, also with pizza and ragu Bolognese, but even with the hard to pair asparagus and artichokes.

“We know the expertise of Thierry Thomas, let's discover his latest creation dedicated to the pleasure of the grape. Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Carignan play the sour-fruity card, evoking the small red berries, the crunchy cherry and a hint of cachou, to spice up the tasting. "

Bourgogne Aligoté is a not so hidden gem of Burgundy, and Domaine Colbois’ is no exception.

It’s a crisp and lively white wine with vibrant acidity and subtle minerality.
Grown in Chablis’ clay-limestone soils, this Aligoté bursts with green apple, lemon zest, and floral notes.

Refreshing, elegant, and perfect as an apéritif or paired with seafood, goat cheese, or the classic Kir cocktail (Aligoté + crème de cassis).

A unique, single estate Albariño on the shelves in The Wine Buff shops.
It’s way more than just floral aromas of citrus and peach. It has a fresh, clean minerality, balanced with stone fruit, lime and a hint of white spice.
Tha finish is long, crisp and zesty, exactly what you’d expect from an Albariño of this calibre.
Great with light dishes, seafood, sushi and salads.

If you’re planning dinner for your loved one on Valentine’s, here is the wine with pasión and a lot of heart(s).
The Bobal is big and bold with loads of ripe, chocolate driven dark fruits, sour cherry and violet floral notes. It has real depth with supple tannin's for structure.
Get some steak and a chocolate cake with it, and you’re in for a win.

How a Bottle of Wine Changed our Lives

Can a purchase of a bottle of wine change a person’s life? Well in Michael Sheehan’s case it certainly did!

In 2006 Michael called into the Wine Buff in Cork and purchased a bottle of Mas du Novi Prestigi, a deeply textured red blend of Grenache and Syrah from the Languedoc, France. Michael and his wife Pauline were so impressed with the quality of this wine that he made a mental note to get back to the shop as soon as possible for a second helping.

When he was next in Cork, he purchased a mixed case of “extraordinary wine at ordinary prices” and in the course of his visit learned about the origins and history of The Wine Buff. Three months later in October 2006 Michael & Pauline opened The Wine Buff Dungarvan.
