El Pacto Rioja
A crianza in all but name, having been aged for over a year in barrel, this modern-style Rioja is deep in colour and full in flavour. Velvety with overripe strawberries and a lovely lick of used oak barrels on the finish.

Von Winning Weisser Burgunder
Weissburgunder is fragrant and crystal-clear aromas of Pinot Blanc on the nose of this honest straightforward example. On the palate, the wine is very well balanced and fragrant, the finish is underlined by a delicate mineral edge.

🎄It’s that time of the year🎄

Join us this Friday the 8th and Saturday 9th for our Christmas selection wines we chose.

Ladybird Sur-Lie Chenin Blanc, Stellenbosch, South Africa
Bright pale gold colour. The bold, upfront nose is packed with notes of white nectarine, pineapple, yellow apple, star fruit, lime zest, nutmeg, and lilies. The palate is complex and layered with an array of spices, vanilla, apples, yellow plums, apricot, and lemon meringue. The wine has a creamy texture and a long zesty finish, which indicates ageing potential or up to 10 years from vintage under good storage conditions.

2018 Chateau Haut Musset
Château Haut Musset was taken over by the Rambeaud family in 2014. This 6.8-hectare estate has an average age of 35 years and uses sustainable viticulture. This Montagne Saint-Emilion is aged 30% in vats and 70% in French oak barrels for 12 months. The 2018 Chateau Haut-Musset is a powerful and expressive wine, where the elegance of the wood underlines the freshness of the fruit and refines the fleshy balance of the palate. A wine to be enjoyed now but can also be cellared for 5 to 15 years.

🎄It’s that time of the year🎄

2020 Chateau Haut-Gazeau Lussac Saint-Emillion
Located at the highest point of the area known as “Gazeau”, hence the origin of its name, the Chateau HAUT-GAZEAU estate extends over 9 hectares planted with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, on sandy-clay soils and a clay-limestone subsoil. The average age of the vines is 40 years. Warm nose, sweet notes - ripe fruit - fig jam - slight hint of toastiness, good density on the palate with relief and dynamism. The tannins are well coated and contribute to this effect of relief and freshness through a hint of vivacity that gives it a very pleasant aromatic length. A wine with a sunny profile, with warm, spicy flavours supported by a fine tension on the finish.

Sauvignon Blanc
David Clouston’s classic example of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc awakens the senses with zingy lemon zest, gooseberry and flinty aromas which are so typical of the varietal when grown in New Zealand’s sunniest region. On the palate flavours of ripe kiwi fruit, pineapple and blackcurrant leaf combine harmoniously with a salty minerality and mouthwatering acidity.

New Bilberry Gin in stock!! Skellig Six 18 Gin is distilled, slowly blended and bottled at the distillery in Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry, Ireland. Inspired by the Atlantic coastal landscaped, they developed a unique recipe including wild Irish botanicals.

Bilberry: tart with a wild sweetness. Native to their Atlantic landscape, Bilberries, known locally in the Irish language as ‘Fraochan’ grow wild on the hillsides. The fruit is central to the Celtic Harvest Festival of Lughnasa which was celebrated on Cnoc na d’Tobar overlooking Cahersiveen and the Skelligs.

Botanicals: Bilberries, Juniper berries, Coriander seed, Angelical root, orris root, liquorice root, Yarrow.
