At the same time, Casar de Burbia remains faithful to tradition, recovering cultivation techniques and winemaking processes to make wines as they were made in the past.
Aged in French oak for about 10-12 months, this vibrant Mencía has a nose of black cherry, blackberry and blueberry, and on the palate it is spicy, well balanced, with firm tannin's and acidity, a true reflection of the minerally-rich Bierzo terroir. Decant for 2 hours.
Have it with barbecued meats, grilled vegetables, pan fried duck, or even with spicy chicken.
