The weather outside calls for a Hugo Spritz!
Here is Willie's version using Skellig Six 18 gin!
Refreshing, floral, and herbal, this Hugo cocktail is a delightful choice for these sunny evenings.
RECIPE
Serves 1
- 20ml Skellig Six 18 Gin
- A Small handful of mint leaves- plus 1 mint sprig to garnish
- 20ml of St Germain Elderflower Liqueur
- 25ml Schweppes soda water
- 120ml Pasqua Prosecco
- 1 lime wedge sliced and a lemon(optional) wedge sliced to garnish
- Ice
Step 1
Gently scrunch the mint in your hands to lightly bruise it, then put in the bottom of a large wine glass. Pour over the elderflower liqueur and gin and leave to infuse for 1-2 mins.
Step 2
Fill the glass with ice, then pour over the soda water and prosecco. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with the sliced lime and lemon and mint sprig before serving.
Use gin because it tempers the sweetness of the drink and pairs well with the floral and herbal notes in the cocktail.
