Opened in July 2011, Baggot Street Wines is 100% Irish, and proud to be your local, independent wine, beer and whiskey specialist. Our passionate staff have over 15 years experience in the European wine industry and have been known to enjoy the odd glass or two. Also well accustomed to the pleasure of a tasty beer, we are delighted to have been awarded the title of 'National Beer Specialist of the

Year' for two consecutive years, both 2013 and 2014, in the National Off Licence of the Year Awards. We are also proud to have been awarded their 'Certificates of Excellence' for the same years and most recently in January 2015. We truly do strive to give the best customer service and were acknowledged as doing so in the 'Best Service' category of this year's long-list in the Irish Times' hunt for the 'Best Shops in Ireland'.

As we celebrate our 14th birthday this month as and 75 years a local wine shop in 17 Upr Baggot St we focus on our great team and their current staff favourites!
Today we focus on one of our longest serving team members and Senior Manager from Kildare who has been with us since 2018 when she joined us from the horse racing industry! She’s the driving force, alongside Catherine, behind curating our 1400 range of wines across the globe.
Her favourite is the wonderful Moment of Silence by imported by ♥️♥️

As we celebrate our 14th birthday this month as and 75 years a local wine shop in 17 Upr Baggot St we focus on our great team and their current staff favourites!
Today we focus on our Ast Manager .white.9480 from Dublin who is busy working his way through level 4 of diploma right now and is our regular 99 seconds of wine host!
In his spare time he spoils plenty of time walking around the golf course and is bass with highly successful .
His fave is the Rioja classic Gran Reserva by ♥️♥️

14 years ago today we picked up the keys for Baggot Street Wines to start an amazing journey as your local wine shop!
At the time myself Garret, my father Shay, Catherine and Alison flung the doors open from the then closed down Oddbins store and packed it full of amazing wines and got the doors open again to continue on a 75 year history since 1950 of a local wine store at 17 upper Baggot St!
We’re still here and excited to celebrate 14 years as Baggot Street Wines and Spirits and 75 years as your local wine shop!
