Villány gilt als bedeutendstes ungarisches Rotweingebiet im Süden des Landes. Unsere 1,5 Hektar bearbeiten wir zu zweit mit unseren kleinen Maschinen, die den Boden nicht verdichten. Die Lese geschieht von Hand und im Keller findet sich, außer einer kleinen Abbeermaschine, keine Technologie. Im Weinberg verzichten wir als Biowinzer auf chemische Spritzmittel und Kunstdünger, düngen stattdessen mit Kompost. Wir erzeugen handwerkliche, naturreine Weine auf höchstem Niveau. Unsere Weine bringen die Besonderheiten der Rebsorte, der örtlichen Geologie und des Klimas, mit anderen Worten das Terroir zum Ausdruck. Wichtig ist ein optimales Gleichgewicht zwischen Rebe und ihrem Ertrag. Deshalb begrenzen wir ihn bereits beim Rebschnitt individuell und pflegen unsere Böden und Rebstöcke übers Jahr mit biodynamischen Präparaten. Weil Qualität und authentischer Trinkgenuss nur im Einklang mit der Natur entstehen. Im Presshaus und im Weinkeller gilt es das Geschenk des Bodens und der Sonne zu bewahren. Damit die Weine sich zu einem Kunstwerk aus Natur und Mensch entwickeln können, verzichten wir auf jede chemische Manipulation und auch auf Reinzuchthefen und -bakterien. Sowohl alkoholische als auch malolaktische Gärung erfolgen bei uns spontan. Wir setzen außer ein wenig Sulfit keinerlei weitere Weinbehandlungsmittel zu. Unsere Weine klären sich stets mit der Zeit von selbst und erhalten keinerlei Schönung. Sie lagern bis zu ihrer idealen Reife 8 bis 24 Monate lang in gebrauchten Barriques und werden dann unfiltriert abgefüllt. ENGLISH:
Our south-facing vineyards lie in the Villány wine-region, the southernmost Hungarian wine-growing area and the most significant one to produce red wine in the country. Our 100 years old traditional cellar is situated in Pécsdevecser, an old, small village with only 70 habitants. We founded our wine-estate in 1998 and have been running it together – only two of us - since then. (We = Ralf Waßmann, who studied beverage sciences in Geisenheim (Germany) and Susann Hanauer, who was a lawyer). Our vineyards cover 1,5 hectares. In 2003 our business became the first one in Villány to be recognized as organic wine growers, according to the EU guidelines for ecological agriculture. We have had biodynamic DEMETER certification since 2011. All of our wines are absolutely handcrafted, vegan, unfined and unfiltered, one is without added sulfur and all the others are only sulfurized as much as is absolutely necessary to maintain the fruity, elegant character of the wines. Apart from minimal sulfur, we do not use any other substances or additives. We have an exciting story, we emigrated from Germany in 1998 just to finally be able to found our own organic wine estate. And our wineregion Villány itself has an exciting history too, it was world famous before the world wars, has been waiting for its rediscovery since the fall of the wall and is still an insider tip in western Europe. In addition, European viticulture was saved here from phyloxera, because this is where Teleki Zsigmond lived, who was the first to successfully graft vines on american roots.

🐾🍷 Van, aki pontosan tudja, hol érdemes időzni.
A Wassmann-borok sem sietnek, szépen fejlődnek, még évek múltán is szinte dorombolnak a pohárban.
Ez a Mundia évjárat még mindig remek formában van!
