Founded in the 1920's by Grand father Jules Moscoso, then continued by his son Edouard and now taken over by third generation distiller Michael. Distillery Moscoso is based in the sugar cane region of Leogane, south of the capital Port au prince and is very well known around the country to have been providing it's clients with superior blend kléren for over 70 years. Since 2008 The distillery has
been modernized to some extent and have been focusing on bottling and branding. Now in 2015 the distillery has founded it's bottling and branding operation although small and artisanal with it's Rhum BARIK brand name and it's Rhum Barik for it's rum line and Kléren National for it's kléren and infused kléren (Kléren arrangé, also known as "Trempé". They are rather Infused rum. The point is to still taste and appreciate the Kléren with it's original taste but with the aroma and taste of some exotic tropical fruits. We are not making sweet liquor. Our products are now available at some local Bars and Lounges and Restaurants in the city of Petion-Ville. Our white and dark rum are still in the making and will soon be available. Expect Rhum Barik and Kléren National to be on the shelves of your local super markets in Haiti very soon.
