Moving past standard Pinot Grigio to explore the ultimate white wine masterpiece of the Veneto: Manzoni Bianco.
"Madre" by is a masterclass for wine geeks. Manzoni Bianco is a fascinating 1930s genetic crossing of Pinot Bianco and Riesling Renano.

Special: Organic Single-Vineyard, Grown on clay-rich soils in the Piave valley.

The Craft: It undergoes brief skin contact for phenolic complexity, then rests on its fine lees in concrete vats amd barrel for long.

The Juice: It perfectly marries the rich, waxy, honeyed weight with lovely acidity and flint.

The Result: The estate's commitment to this native grape has earned it consistent Tre Bicchieri (Three Glasses) top honors from Gambero Rosso.

Château Coutet, Saint-Émilion: Where Time Stands Still!!

Perched on the prestigious Saint Emilion limestone plateau alongside icons like Ausone, Canon, Beausejour Duffau and Belair-Monange,
Château Coutet remains an intentional hidden gem. Passed down through the same family since 1601, the David Beaulieu family’s core mission is to preserve this land forever.
Coutet is a living textbook of biodiversity. Truly organic since its inception, the estate has never used chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Here, nature rules; rare Roman tulips bloom between vines, and ancient stone pyramids and underground water sources remain preserved since the Roman Era. When you open a bottle, you are tasting untouched history and the soul of the people who protected it.
At the pinnacle of this history sits the rare Cuvée Demoiselles. Inspired by a rare, hand-blown 18th-century bottle discovered buried beneath the cellar floor, this cuvée recreates the estate’s ancestral soul. Heritage massale-selection clones of 100yr old Merlot and Cabernet Franc grown on pure limestone, it stands as an authentic, liquid time capsule.

Château Durfort‑Vivens may not make the loudest noise in Bordeaux, but it is unquestionably one of the region’s true leaders in organic and biodynamic viticulture.
Under Gonzague Lurton, the estate has pushed further and faster than most, farming with a level of ecological commitment that feels years ahead of its neighbors.

Their curiosity — and the realities of climate change — have led to bold experiments.
In 2010, they released La Nature de Durfort‑Vivens, one of the first natural wines from a classified growth.
And in 2022, they introduced the first Blanc de Noirs from a Margaux estate, built with 50% Cabernet Franc — a grape increasingly seen as Bordeaux’s climate‑resilient future.

Durfort‑Vivens is not just adapting; it’s exploring, questioning, and redefining what a classified growth can be.
If you want to understand where Bordeaux is heading, Gonzague Lurton is the person you need to meet and talk to — a winemaker whose vision is shaping the next chapter of the Médoc.

Château du Tertre is one of Margaux’s quiet gems — an estate moving with fresh energy and ambition under its new ownership.
Recent investment has transformed both the vineyard and the cellar, setting the stage for a new era.

The most exciting sign of this shift is Alba by Tertre, a new‑type Bordeaux Blanc crafted outside the classic Sauvignon–Sémillon frame.
The blend is bold for the Médoc: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier, aged partly in concrete eggs to preserve tension and purity.
A climate‑ready white designed to bring freshness and lift in a warming region.

Production is tiny — just 2,500 bottles — but the message is big:
Margaux is evolving, and Château du Tertre is quietly leading the way.

A new‑type Bordeaux Blanc is emerging — wines released under VDF so producers can be creative outside the AOC.
A very convincing examples is Blanc d’Issan, first made in 2024, blending Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier, — varieties chosen specifically for the next decades.

The vineyard lies inside Margaux, on an unusual mix of clay and limestone rather than the appellation’s classic gravel, giving the wine tension and salinity.
Production is tiny: under 1,300 bottles for the inaugural vintage.

A small release but a clear signal of Bordeaux’s new era and new‑style begin!

Domaine Laurent Pillot is in a true generational transition, with Adrien gradually shaping the style while Laurent’s experience anchors the domaine.
The evolution is clear: tighter lines, more freshness, and a crisper mineral profile, especially in the whites.

Reds also deserve equal attention, Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens in particular shows impressive structure.

Adrien’s touch brings definition and precision, a response to Burgundy’s changing climate. Can be the region’s next stylistic chapter.

Pierre Vincent is one of Burgundy’s most respected modern winemakers — the man who restored another legendary winery's reputation after premature oxidation and launched his own.

His new domaine is built on precision, purity, and long‑term vision based in Auxey Duresses.

Could be one of the most anticipated names shaping Burgundy’s next decade.

Carillon Frères — the new generation rising from the historic Carillon in Puligny‑Montrachet.
François Carillon’s two sons have launched their own micro‑négoce, working with grapes sourced from the family vineyards and vinifying in the Carillon cellar with their father’s full support.

Their first release is tiny:
• Puligny‑Montrachet “Noyer Bret”
• Cuvée LouLou, a tribute to their grandparents, blending from two Puligny parcels.

A project built on heritage but driven by youthful precision and ambition — a Burgundy’s next era, shaped by the new generation.

Gianni Gagliardo shows Barolo through a multi‑commune, Nebbiolo from five key villages — La Morra, Monforte d’Alba, Serralunga d’Alba, Barolo, and Verduno.
Including MGAs such as Monvigliero, Lazzarito, Castelletto, Mosconi, Fossati, Bricco San Pietro, and the historic Serra dei Turchi.
The iconic Monvigliero standing out for its floral aromatics, and fine, chalk‑driven tannins — one of the most sought‑after crus in Verduno today.

The Gagliardo family continues to refine extraction and tannin management, aiming for precision, purity, and aromatic clarity over sheer power.
Grateful to Stefano Gagliardo for guiding us through the range and sharing the technical vision behind the wines.
Wish you all can do like the logo, taking off the mask and sharing the laught after sharing good bottles!
