We heard on the grapevine that it’s going to be another rosé sort of a weekend, so we thought that we’d see what all the fuss is about with 🐓 🍷 and see if we stock anything in our own portfolio that we could recommend as an alternative…

So, with the help of the team and a couple of customers who timed their visits very well, we sampled a selection in the sunshine ☀️

And the winner was…

… Domaine de la Ferrandiere Grenache Gris Rosé which we import directly from the wonderful producer in the South of France. Dry, crisp, full of flavour and very delicious.

It’ll be on taste in the shop tomorrow and we would love you to come and try it and let us know what you think.

It’s normally £12.25 but we’ve got a special 25% off tomorrow so it will be just £9.15!

Thank you so much for our latest set of photographs! They’re fantastic! And have captured the team and the essence of York Wines perfectly.

We cannot recommend Angela enough if you’re looking to get some brand photography done for your business.

Angela understands the importance of getting to know, and understanding what your business is all about so that the personality really comes through in the final photos.

And if you’re worried about the shoot day itself, then don’t be - everyone is made to feel relaxed and it’s a lot of fun!

World Marselan Day celebrates a grape created in 1961 by Paul Truel. It’s a cross of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache.

World Marselan Day is April 27th, which is the date of Truel’s birth date.

We’d highly recommend this fantastic Uruguayan wine Viña Salort Tannat Marselan.

🇪🇸 Feliz Feria de Sevilla 🇪🇸

Every April in Seville in the South of Spain the city comes to life with music, dancing, food and drink for one week, and this year it’s 21st to 26th.

The traditional drink is the Rebujito and Lucy is showing us how it’s made using our Mira La Mar Manzanilla Sherry.

Out and about today, and here’s the view from the top of Terrington Bank looking down across the Vale of York.

We really are so lucky to be situated in such a beautiful part of the world where we can see the seasons changing and at this time of year the lambs frolicking in the fields.

Spring has definitely sprung and we’re very much looking forward to the May Bank Holiday weekends.

Keep an eye out for our recommended BBQ Reds and Sunshiney Rosés! 🔥 🌞 🌹
