Breaking News - congratulations to the Bridge End Inn, Ruabon in being selected as the Dee Valley CAMRA pub of the year for 2026. Well done to Matt and the team. This comes after a successful 2025, which saw the pub being voted CAMRA North Wales pub of the year. Best wishes to The Bridge End Inn which will now go forward as Dee Valley’s representative in this year’s North Wales pub of the year competition.

A year ago today I proudly lifted the first ridge tile intact off my roof. I turned it over, then my cat ladder gave way my legs shot down the ridge shot up and my face hit it. We all landed in the valley, ridge cracked and me bloodied and demotivated.
Today though I finished my 20th cider pressing season without falling off a tank, or getting zapped, squashed or cut open and in fairness all the machinery ran faultlessly to the end - apart from that belt...
So, as I put my feet up a bit, I'd like to thank my customers over the past 19years and wish you all a lovely Christmas, good health and a happy New Year! All the best.
