🍎 🍏 🍎 🍏 🍎 Apple collection this Monday 🍎 🍏 🍎 🍏 🍎

We will, once again, be collecting apples to be juiced, bottled and sold in the shop. We would be very pleased to accept apples from 8am to 3pm on Monday 22nd September.

The weather this year may have stressed the apple trees. Please make sure that the apples are ripe. Trees will drop apples early if they are stressed, damaged or diseased but that doesn't mean they are ripe. Tasting is a quick easy way of checking them - whatever they taste of will be the taste of the juice.

When the apples are ready, put them in sound, waterproof containers, bring them down to the shop and place them on the trailer which will be located by the village hall.

If you want your waterproof boxes back, please label them and they can be returned to you.

This coming Monday, August 4th, the shop, cafe & Post Office will be closed for the installation of our new Epos system (till).
No papers & no bread. Monday’s bread from Lamings & Loafers will be delivered on Tuesday 5th.
Our volunteers have had training over the past couple of weeks, but as with all new systems, it will take some time getting used to.
We apologise for the inconvenience, but we’re sure you’ll understand.
