🍰☕️🍩🍮🧁❤️ WHAT A FANTASTIC RESULT! ❤️

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along today to our Coffee & Cake morning on the cobbles outside Ken’s today! 🧁☕️

Despite the weather getting progressively worse - you wonderful people turned out in force to support us, proving that not even the British weather can put a stop to a great cause! 🌧️❤️

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve raised OVER £2,000 for the Breast Unit at the Derby Royal..!!! 🎉👏 What an absolutely brilliant result, and one that’s going to mean so much to everyone involved.

The weather started out fine, but it got a little bit wet - so we had to get creative with the gazebos to keep everything dry! ☔️😂 But a bit of rain wasn’t going to spoil the day.

A massive thank you goes to:
❤️ All our wonderful helpers who gave up their time and worked so hard.
🧁 All the fantastic bakers who put so much time, love and effort into making all those delicious cakes.
🏡 Ken’s, for hosting the event and providing such a great place for everyone to come together.
☕️ And, of course, every single person who came along, bought a cake, donated money or supported us in any way.

One of the loveliest parts of the morning was hearing the personal stories so many of you shared with us. It reminded us all just how close to home this cause is for so many people, and why raising money for the Breast Unit at Derby is so important. ❤️

📣 A QUICK NOTE ABOUT THE RAFFLE!

With the weather being how it was today, we didn’t get around to drawing the raffle, and rushing it wouldn’t have done justice to the wonderful prizes that have been donated… so please don’t worry!
The weather’s going to improve from Wednesday onwards so we’ll be drawing it next Saturday morning on the cobbles at Ken’s at 11am.
We’ll be publishing a list of prizes beforehand so it’ll give people a chance to see what they could win, and that means you’ve still got chance to buy a ticket or two..🤞🎟️

From all of Margarets team and all of us at Ken’s, we’d like to thank you all for making today such a special occasion. The weather might have been a bit miserable, but the kindness, generosity and community spirit were absolutely wonderful.

OVER £2,000 RAISED — AND THAT’S SOMETHING TO SMILE ABOUT! ❤️👏

Thank you all so much! ❤️

But that’s not all! We’ve also got a Tombola and a fantastic raffle, with some absolutely incredible prizes donated, including garden furniture, holidays, meals out and much, much more! 🎁🎉

Honestly, the prizes are so good you’ll kick yourself if you miss out!

🍎🥦🌸 WARNING… it’s looking blooming lovely out here today! 🌸🥦🍎

Our fresh fruit & veg, plants and flowers are all looking absolutely fabulous today! 😍

The staff have been so busy that the boss has actually had to get stuck in and make the display himself! 😂 We’re not sure whether he’s found his new calling or just trying to show everyone how it’s done! 😉

And because we like to look after our flowers, he’s also even invested in a brand-new parasol to keep the flowers nice and dry when it rains. 🌂🌸 Now that’s dedication!

So, if you’re passing, pop in and have a look — there’s plenty of fresh produce and plenty of colour to brighten your day. 🍓🥕🌷

And don’t forget, we’re here 12 hours a day, 7 days a week — because apparently we never go home! 😂

Come and see us — it’s the best blooming spot in town 😉
