Winster Village Shop is a community-owned project: the shop is owned by the village. The shop employs a locally-based manager and a small contingent of paid staff. Volunteers from Wins

Two important dates for your diary regarding the Shop. On Thursday 4th September at 7pm the Shop Annual General Meeting will be held in the Burton Institute. It’s your community shop, so please support it by attending this important meeting, during which you will find out about what we have doing, our profitability, our plans for the future and how they will affect you.
The second date is Saturday 15th November 2-6pm in the BI - a celebration of the Shops 20th Anniversary, with afternoon tea.
Both events are free to local residents and supporters of the Shop.

Some news just in. Winster Village Shop is a top three finalist in the Plunkett keep it local awards. Board member Brian Saunders submitted an excellent application, followed up by an interview with Board Chair Alistair Wright.
The 2025 Rural Community Business Awards, sponsored by Lands Improvement, will take place on Thursday 3 July at the Royal Society of Chemistry in London. Our fingers are crossed.
