We are thrilled to welcome Georgi to host a special evening of wine tasting, where he’ll share his knowledge, passion, and fascinating insights into some of Europe’s most exciting — and often overlooked — wine regions: Bulgaria, Romania, and Slovenia.
These countries have been producing wine for centuries, yet remain relatively undiscovered here in the UK. This is your chance to explore bold, characterful wines and learn the stories behind them in a relaxed and friendly setting.
You may have already met Georgi at the Somerset Wine Fair or at our Bulgarian wine dinner last year — but if not, here’s a little more about him:
“I was born in Harmanli, a small town near the border with Greece and Turkey, and raised in a winemaking family. My childhood was spent helping my father and grandfather in the vineyards, which inspired my love of wine and nature from a young age.”
“After studying Agricultural Tourism, I travelled to the US and later earned an MSc in Business and Management from the University of Portsmouth. My true passion lies in indigenous grapes and sharing the incredible stories of producers from Central and Eastern Europe.”
