September’s giving us a bit of a mixed bag - some really hot, sunny days, mixed with rain, chilly evenings and the nights coming in a lot earlier.

So we’re starting to lean into the cosier moments… good cheese, Peter's Yard crackers and a bottle of something that pairs well.

Peter’s Yard make their sourdough crackers in small batches, using a 45-year-old starter that’s fermented for 16 hours - all for that lovely light, crisp crunch that’s made for cheese.
Basically, summer’s not quite over, but we’re ready for cheese season.

Back to school. Back to coffee.

For the parents who’ve spent the last six weeks running on iced coffees, holiday snacks and sheer determination…

School’s back, routines are returning, and frankly, we’re going to need good coffee.

We’ve got Moon Roast Coffee on the shelves - hand-roasted, with a few different blends to choose from. And a very handy decaf for those of us pretending we’ve got this caffeine thing under control.

Because apparently we’re all meant to be back to normal now…

Garden Hang 🌿🍷

Last night was a good one.

We loved welcoming some new peeps alongside our regulars, with tastings from English Sparkling, .folc , and Les Côtes from Bugey, France.

As always, the garden did its thing - the perfect spot to grab something from the shop, try something new and hang with friends.

IT’S BEEN TOO LONG!
We’re excited to host you in the garden again - please come by and tell us all about your summer!

As well as the producers we’re sampling, you can buy any items from the shop and enjoy them in the garden.

(Tasting & by the glass starts at 5 but we’ll open up the garden from 3pm - so come on by any time from then to enjoy).

SAMPLES & BY THE GLASS
From 5pm we’re introducing our new local (Gold award winning) sparkling from Longdown Vineyard, as well as the new 100% Pinot Noir from Folc | Discover the joy of English Rosé | Made in Kent, England. and the exquisite DIMOS - organic, single estate, Extra Virgin olive oil from Kalamata Bay in Greece.

Many of you will know Cat Brandwood, and we’re stoked that she’ll be dropping by to pour samples of Longdown and tell you all about it!

We also have Demosthenes - founder of DIMOS Olive Oil - to tell you their story which all starts with the trees planted by his Great Grand Mother.

The weather is looking mostly good, but for anyone new to our events, the garden has cover and there’s some indoor seating too! It’s actually the St George garden - event space of the fab Wykeham Arms.

Summer just got a little more delicious. 🫒

We’ve already got a soft spot for Perello and now we’ve added the larger tins of their Gordal Picante olives to the shelves.

Alongside the much loved olive oil, cocktail gherkins, caperberries, pickled garlic and smaller jars of olives, they’re made for summer tables, picnics, BBQs, and make a very good gift for the olive lover in your life.
