So just over 10 years ago we had a plan. I’m not entirely sure what it was but there was a sensible plan.
Having been together since school, via uni, then travelling, London and New York and I were living in Oxford where she was doing Post doc after getting a PhD in neuroscience. Then one day I got on the train back home to having found out we were expecting our Margo and the plan changed…
I might have agreed to sign the lease on a shop before being able to check with Rose. Luckily she liked (….eventually) the new plan.
And today it’s 10 years since we opened the doors of ! The 2 of us are now 5 and frankly the whole thing, a bit like the shop is a bit mental! Thank you from the bottom of my feet 😉 to everyone who has come in, worked for us, helped or even just said “good morning” as I put a 1m gnome out the front. But an especially special thank you to for getting on board with my rather different plan and way doing things, being there to support me through the highs and the Covid’s 🤦🏻♂️.
Running your own shop/business is not always easy but I wouldnt change it for the world. Doubling as a dysfunctional nursery for much of the last 10 years a shop is more than just a shop. It’s our life, it’s my second home, it’s my everyday and again thank you for supporting it because without people coming in it wouldn’t still be here 10 years later. ❤️
